Hong Kong Fiscal Year: January to December

  • AYP will provide IR56B Form (Employer's Return of Remuneration & Pensions) for employees on April 28th.

  • Employees need to proceed with tax filings from March 1st to May 15th. The Inland Revenue Department (IRD) will issue tax returns to taxpayers in May, and the deadline for filing it is a month from the date of issuance.

Submission details

  • With form duly filled and signed, taxpayers should send it to IRD GPO Box 132, Hong Kong.

  • Should taxpayers wish to submit in person, they should visit the Inland Revenue Centre at 5 Concorde Road, Kai Tak, Kowloon, Hong Kong.

Refund Timeline

For taxpayers who have overpaid their taxes, IRD will refund the excess via cheque within 4 weeks.
